I'm Harlan Harris, a data science leader with a PhD in Computer Science (AI/ML) and 15+ years of industry experience across EdTech, e-commerce, marketplaces, and enterprise software. I've built and led teams working on search, recommendations, AI systems, and analytics infrastructure.
I've been writing this blog since 2009 — mostly about search, AI/ML, and data teams, plus the occasional side project. I co-authored Analyzing the Analyzers (O'Reilly), and my talks and papers are listed on the Publications page.
